In the opportunistic city of Los Angeles CA, we had the honor of collaborating with the phenomenal Karol G for the MTV Video Music Awards performance. In this extraordinary opportunity we made one-of-a-kind necklaces and pocket charms for all her back-up dancers. Complimenting Karol G's outfit and turning the VMA stage into a dazzling and sexy pink and green heaven.
As the music industry's elite gathered for the VMA's, VidaKush crafted custom necklaces that radiated individuality and were the perfect accessories for the dancers who were only wearing fluffy pick jackets as their top. The necklaces shined bright as the stage lights beamed down on them, keeping eyes locked on the dancers and Karol G's singing. These bespoke pieces weren't just necklaces; they were an extension of the artist's persona, meticulously designed to complement her style and elevate her stage presence; which we are certain, they did.
We were also tasked on the same project to create different colored pocket charms. These would sit right as the base of the backup dancers pants, providing a vibrant and dynamic touch to their stage attire. These eye-catching charms danced with them, creating a visual spectacle that perfectly complemented the energy of the performance.
Guiding the performers through their mesmerizing routine was none other than the illustrious choreographer Parris Goebel. Known for her viral choreography and dance work within the industry, Goebel added her creative flair to the performance, ensuring that every move was a seamless and exactly as she envisioned. Notably, Goebel was also the mastermind behind Rihanna's 2023 Super Bowl performance and her dancers. This is iconic because we crafted the pocket chains for the infamous 'marshmallow' dancers and were both a big part of the memorable half time show's visual narrative. Goebel's creative genius and our jewelry seamlessly intertwined, we were thrilled to join forces again as she paves the way through the dance industry.
But the magic doesn't stop there. VidaKush continued its creative journey with Karol G, contributing to her Billboard Music Awards performance as well, where her backup dancers adorned the iconic Juicy Heart Ball Chain Necklace. These ongoing collaborations are a testament to the extraordinary moments that unfold when visionary artists and Vidakush's innovative craftsmanship come together.
